It did take me a while to catch a therapist who took my insurance, and checked all my boxes, but all the people I ended up speaking with, in intake/scheduling over the course of all my calls were very kind, and helpful! Note that I have only JUST wrapped up my initial/intake session, barely even a couple hours ago (got a text, asking me for a review) but that being said, the therapist I was paired with is beyond lovely. She was very patient, reassuring, and understanding in the face of all my various anxieties. 😅 First impressions have me feeling extremely optimistic about continuing to work with her.”

“My experience was quite pleasant as far as booking goes. My scheduler was super friendly, helpful and took the time to find a provider who might best match my needs. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I’ve had to wait 3 months for my first appointment. That’s not the longest wait I’ve ever had but it’s not great either. It feels like forever when you’re really struggling. Other than that the booking experience was fantastic! Had my first appointment today and my therapist is just awesome! I’m looking forward to working with him”

“My mom had emergency surgery the day of my appt that I had been waiting over a month for. I tried to reschedule online but that was not an option so I called and waited on hold for over 10 minutes. Once someone answered they said it will be a $100 late cancellation fee. I explained it was a family emergency and she said ok and transferred my call. My appointment was rescheduled with no indication that I was going to be charged a fee. I go onto the online portal and saw a $100 balance due on my account. No email, phone call, letter, text... I only saw it because I wanted to confirm my appointment day and time to make sure I had it in my calendar correctly. I called and spoke with Jenny who was rude when I stated I wanted to cancel the future appointment. Personally, I wanted to figure out the $100 bill before I commit to scheduling with the provider. She asked for cancellation reason which I told her I didn't want to disclose and she asked, "well are you going to call back and reschedule?" I told her I wasn't sure yet and then she hung up on me. I called the billing department and they said they will escalate my billing concerns to the provider but it is up to them if I will be charged. They told me it can take up 10 business days to get a response. All in all, I am incredibly frustrated. I understand the providers time matters and I would never want anyone to lose money but I'm confused on the business model. Am I paying the provider directly or the predatory corporation that pays a flat rate per visit? It really doesn't make sense and I highly suggest contacting your insurance for better community resources. I guess people with mental health concerns aren't allowed to have emergencies come up without paying for it.”

“I met with a counselor one time after missing the first appt that kaiser made, it was not a good time for me that was chosen and I was charged 100$ for a missed appt. I spoke with someone who stated my counselor could get it waived. My counselor stated he would take care of it and yet I just got a bill for it. Mind you, I was charged before I even read and signed any contracts... How is this even legal? I wanted to like this place.. This place is giving me more mental health worries. 😭 People who see mental health help often have days they don't feel good and diagnosis that explain forgetfulness as well ... I'm totally shocked and feel like the pockets being lined are worth more than ones mental health.”
